100 POINTS!!!

Jacob has been working very hard to get 100 AR points before the end of the year and he hit his goal last Friday. We celebrated with a cookie cake and a trip to Clovis for Shogun's and the batting cages. (We look for any reason to celebrate at Shogun's!!) All 3rd graders that make 100 points get to paint a ceiling tile in the school. Jacob will get to paint his tile in a few weeks and I am sure I will have pictures later.

Red and Black Game

Jacob, Kyle and I went to Lubbock for the Texas Tech Spring Football Game this past Saturday in Lubbock. Jacob participated in the kid's clinic Saturday morning. During the clinic, several of the Tech players took the kids out on the field at Jones stadium and played a few games with them. Jacob had a blast and is now considering playing football for Tech again.... I am not sure why he thinks that he needs to decide where he wants to go to college right now. Jacob also thought UT might work because he could live with Aunt Dorothy and they could eat at Furr's every night. I will try to remind him of that when he is in high school. Anyhow... back to the Tech Spring Game... after the kid's clinic we stayed for the Spring Game. It was fun getting a sneek peak of what to expect in the Fall. Kyle was a trooper and slept through the game part. After the game, we went down on the field again and Jacob got autographs from some of the players. Mike Leach and Taylor Potts had LONG lines, so we skipped them. We had so much fun and hope Kelly and Riley will join us next year!

Easter in Mason

Before we headed to Mason for Easter, Riley had his school party. (Jacob decided to skip his party, so we could get on the road.)

Jacob's New Toy

Kyle and I waited at the trailer while the other boys tried it out. Unfortunately, the 4 wheeler is already back in the shop visiting the dirt bike. We hope to have them both out soon.

Easter Snacks...

It would have been so much easier to go to United and buy a box of cookies for $2. Instead, I spent who knows how much and this is what I ended up with...




I saw these little guys on a site I have been following for some time now. Bakerella made the cake pops look fun and easy. Fun... yes. But easy...I am not so sure. I started off with grand plans of several shapes and many details, but I ended up with one shape with no details. Sorry Riley. After I finished and I sat back to admire all my hard work, I noticed something troubling. Several of the little boogers had cracks in them. I am not sure why I had cracks, but I hope when I wake in the morning that there will not be more cracks in the chocolate outer shell. Regardless of details and cracks in the shell, I am sure they will be a hit in Riley's Kindergarten class!

Bet Your Bottom Dollar...

Guess what we went to see on Saturday in Lubbock.... Annie! I took Jacob and Riley, along with a friend to see the Broadway show in Lubbock. The boys loved it and we have been singing the songs all day today. Jacob sat with my Dad and I did not get a picture of him, but here is Riley with his friends, Tobin and Addyson.


The boys think that "bottom" is a funny word because it is the word I use to describe their back side. Every time they hear Bet Your Bottom Dollar they giggle and think it is so funny. I have tried to explain to them the meaning of the song, but they can't stop giggling to hear me.

Next year Wizard of Oz is coming... I hope I can take the boys to that one, too.

One Used High Chair

I recently made the mistake of putting Kyle at the table in a booster, instead of his high chair. He loved it and will not sit in the high chair anymore. It is one of those "Mom Moments" when you **sniff sniff** realize he is growing up. There is the moment of yeah... another milestone and then the oh no... another milestone. Our big boy sitting at the table...




It is ok that Kyle does not need it anymore, but can I get rid of it? Kelly's best bud gave it to us when we were expecting our first and I have had it for all three of my babies to use. I am usually not the sentimental type, but it is a little sad to pack up the chair.

In other news... Kyle had his 15 month check up before we headed to Myrtle Beach and everything went great. He is in the 75% in height and weight. I think that Kyle is a little smaller than his brothers were at this age. Kyle is still not talking much, but the doctor did not seem to worry.
