Merry Christmas to All!

Well, the children are nestled all snug in their beds, but I am not sure if sugar plums are dancing in their heads! It has been a LONG week and I am glad to see it end!


I just downloaded many pictures from my camera and found one where I was playing with the focus. I decided to delete the one odd picture and accidentally deleted all of them. So, if you are here for pictures, then feel free to leave now. I will try to explain the great things we have been up to the last week or so.


First, the boys had their Christmas parties at school. We all had a good time and everyone loaded up with plenty of candy. Riley sang a couple of songs at his party. He will not sing them again for me, but they were very cute and he did a good job singing along even with the "Riley smirk" on his face. (This is where one of those cute pics would have explained it better.)


Sunday afternoon, we loaded up the kids from church and handed out ribbon angels to shut ins, the nursing home and to anyone that needed a little extra loving this holiday season. The kids did a great job handing out the angels and sharing hugs. Everyone had huge smiles on their faces and a few had tears to see a flock of children waiting outside their front doors with smiles on their little faces. After surviving the cold wind we went back to church and had hot chocolate and cookies. I was truly blessed to be a part of this fun day.


Tuesday, Kelly and I took the kids to Amarillo to see my grandmother. We had a great visit and enjoyed seeing GG. The boys were very good (and still) at GG's new house and during lunch, so we headed over to the Discovery Center to run off some energy. They just renovated the DC in Amarillo and it was fantastic. Our entire family had a fun time. Here are a few pictures that survived.

STATE CHAMPS!!!

We had a FANTASTIC weekend in Dallas! The Muleshoe Mules beat Kerbyville to win the title of 2A Division 1 State Football Champs. What a great experience for those boys and for the town of Muleshoe.

We made a weekend of it in the big D. We had the opportunity to have dinner with friends Friday. We visited with family on Saturday and then headed to the game. Thanks again to my aunt and uncle for keeping Kyle while we went to the game.

Then Sunday, we explored the aquarium and had lunch at Saltgrass before heading home.

Can I get a HOORAH?!?!?

The Mighty Mules are playing for the STATE title this weekend in Dallas. Kelly and I are taking the boys for the game and a weekend away in the Big D. Go Mules Go!

One Cold Day!

It is COLD outside. Actually, it is not very cold, but the wind is freezing. Kelly, Kyle and I have sat around the fire today and I let the boys make smores when they got home from school. What a fun treat for such a yuck day! Do they actually learn anything at school on days like this? Tomorrow is an early release day for UIL competition. Friday is an early release day because of the state playoff. Most of the town is going to Dallas this weekend for the state playoff game. Next week is Christmas parties and then out for 2 weeks for Christmas. So, do you think those kids can sit still long enough to learn anything??



I know what you are thinking.... boy, she does not post for weeks, then three in one day. Let me remind you that it is freezing outside. What a better way to spend your afternoon then catching up on computer work!

Catching Up

We have been busy around here! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. The Albuquerque crew came for the holiday and the boys enjoyed playing with their cousins.





Riley and Kyle are officially another year older. Riley is loving Kindergarten! I would officially call him a reader. (A beginning reader) He can read short books and sound out most words. Riley can count to 100 and make his own lunch for school. If he could only remember to pick up his dirty clothes off the floor....

Kyle is into everything! He likes to rearrange the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. (Pull everything out onto the floor and wait for mom to put it back.) Kyle loves remote controls and cell phones. He likes to be outside or wherever his brothers are.

There is never a dull moment around here!

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

We celebrated Kyle's first birthday last weekend. I cannot believe that our baby boy is ONE!!! Where did the year go???

It is truly amazing how fast they grow and learn. Kyle is such a sweet little boy. He loves his brothers and lights up when they are in the room. Poor little guy has logged more miles in his car seat than the other two combined. Kyle gets to go to boy scouts, 4H, football, etc... When J and R were babies I just stayed home.

We celebrated his birthday with a party at home with family and a few friends.

Be All You Can Be!

Riley's birthday party was yesterday and I think it was a huge hit! We did an army party and all the kiddos came prepared in their camo. The party was so much fun, but I could not have pulled it off without the help of several great friends! I don't have many pictures because I was busy and my camera was acting goofy! Kyra got some good ones and they are on her blog. The kids came in and "signed up" to be in the army. They were given face paint and a helmet and we were off to target practice. (Pin the tail on the donkey except it was place the tank on the target) Then we headed off to the obstacle coarse. I broke them into two teams and they competed against each other. Then, a good friend came with a camo parachute. He played a few games with the kids and they had a blast.

Brave Hunter

Yesterday was the Thanksgiving meal at Riley's school. The Kindergarten class always dresses up like little Indians for the meal and they were adorable! They all worked hard on their costumes and the kids loved showing them off for the mom and dads. My little munchkin was given the name Brave Hunter. After some turkey and dressing, I brought Riley and his good friend, Tobin, home for the rest of the day.

Today we get to share turkey and dressing with Jacob at his school. By next week, we should be good and tired of turkey!!

A New Bike

Jacob got a new bike for his birthday. He is very proud and I could hardly get him to sit still for a picture. Sorry his face is in a shadow... that was the best I could do before he rode off.

Time to Party

Jacob and Triston have been best friends since they met at age 3. Their birthdays are one day apart, so we decided to do a joint party this year. On Friday after school, we loaded up and headed to Lubbock. The party was at Main Event and they got to bowl, laser tag, arcade games and eat. It was a blast and Riley was already asking if we could have his party there.

It seems like yesterday that you were playing on the kangaroo climber. Thank you for 9 wonderful, funfilled years! We love you Big Brother and hope you have a fantastic day!!

May the Force Be With You

Trick or Treating around here ranks up there with birthdays and Christmas. Friday we dressed up and headed out to close friends and a few neighbors houses to fill our candy bags and then headed home to hand out tattoos and spider rings. I think the boys enjoy handing out as much or more than dressing up. It is fun having Halloween on a Friday and not having to worry about bedtimes or sugar hangovers.
