The Three Little Pigs

There once was a cute little 3rd grader named Jacob that thought showing animals might be fun. So, his dad helped him find three, cute pigs and they named them Tom, Lucy and Cupcake. They had one house made out of metal with hay inside to help them stay warm. I hope there are no wolves that huff and puff, but there will be trips to feed, walk and care for the pigs. Oh, we are in for fun times!!

Jacob is so excited about his pigs and I think deep down Kelly is a little excited, too. This will be a complete learning experience for all of us, but we have a good friend that has taken us under his wing to help and teach us. The pigs are staying in the FFA barn just on the other side of town, so I will not have to haul Jacob out to the field everyday. (Yeah!!) I will keep everyone updated on our little piggies. (They are kinda cute for pigs, but they do STINK!)

We had a another busy weekend. Friday the Mules won again. The Mighty Mules are still undefeated and look good for a great playoff run. Saturday, Jacob and I went to a wedding and then the family hit the Fall Festival. The PTA sponsors the event and the kids always have a great time playing games and winning candy.

Maybe this time next week I can update on Tech's huge victory over Texas.

Pumpkin Pictures

It has been another action packed, fun filled weekend. Last Friday the boys decorated pumpkins for a contest here in town. We competed in this contest last year and Jacob got 1st place with a bat and Riley got an honorable mention with a football.



This year, Jacob decided on a pirate and Riley created a puppy. They both turned out really cute and both of them received a ribbon. Jacob got 2nd place and Riley 3rd. We had a fun time decorating with the Newberry crew on Friday. It was a good thing I knew a great place to find pumpkins.







Kyle had a fun time being outside with all the kids and he really was interested in the broom. Maybe I can find a broom in his size, so he can pick up after himself.





On Saturday, we had our last football games. Jacob's team lost the Superbowl, but we all went to Pizza Hut to celebrate a great season.

Guess what Kyle can do!

I am not sure when to say that Kyle walked. It happened over such a long period from taking one or two steps to three and four. Eventually, he could walk across the room but he was still very shaky. Well, this weekend, he perfected his walking ability. Kyle can now stand in the middle of the room with nothing to pull up on and walking is now his preferred method of moving. It is faster than crawling. He walks everywhere now!!

More Football

The boys football seasons are almost over. Jacob will play next week in the "Superbowl" for the championship and Riley will miss his last game next week when we are in Mason. The coach promised to save a trophy for him and that is all that really matters to Riley. I tried to get a few more pictures yesterday of their games. It is hard when you are holding a sleeping baby at the same time! Both boys have learned a lot this year and had a great time. They are both looking forward to next year already!

What will he find next?

I just thought I would share all the things that Kyle has put into his mouth already today.

First, it was a rock. (Thanks Riley for bringing those home from the school playground.)

Second, a dead bug.

Third, a large piece of meat (I think it is meat) that he found under the kitchen table. I am not sure how long it has been there.

Fourth, another rock.

Fifth, a leaf.

And last, leftover banana that he dropped at lunch.

Now that I have a floor inspector, I guess I need to do a better job cleaning my floors!

Chuck E Cheese Here We Come!

I told Jacob that I would take him to Chuck E Cheese if he made a touchdown. Well, I guess I get to eat pizza.... Jacob made a touchdown today!

Jacob had an awesome game. He made several great tackles and blocks. They even let him kick off once and he had a pretty good kick, but nothing was better than getting that first touchdown. Jacob has improved so much over the season and is having a great time. We start the playoffs next week and then October 11th is the Superbowl.

Riley had a bye this weekend. He enjoyed eating a snow cone and playing football with a friend he found from his Kindergarten class.
